The Birth of The Church - Part 8 - The Progression of The Church

In the 8th part of his series "The Birth of The Church : A Journey Through The Book of Acts," Pastor David Fresch discusses "The Progression of The Church" as related in Acts 8 and 10. Having gained a foothold in Judea, The Early Church begins to spread out, but must deal with the prejudices of the Early Church members toward the non-Jewish populations around them. Pastor David focuses on the actions of Peter in dealing with Samaritan believers in Acts 8, with a Gentile Roman Centurion in Acts 10, and his reactions to a vision provided to him by God in Acts 10:9-15. Through these events, God gives Peter, and by extension, The Early Church the understanding required to overcome their own prejudices and realize that The Gospel is intended for the entire world. Pastor David asks us to consider what we are doing in our own lives to tear down walls, and to deal with our prejudices, so that The Gospel can spread out from us as well.
