AWANA
Awana helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Our programs offer a proven approach for evangelizing and discipling kids in the church and community. The program in non-denominational but centered on Christ. The founders of Awana derived the Awana name from the first letters of Approved workmen are not ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15 of the Bible.
Awana meets at NSBC weekly through the school year from 1800 to 1930 hours. Our program accommodates children from preschool to 6th grade, offering time in Scripture memory, games, and a session to teach children Christ centered and encouraging messages oriented at their age group.
Most kids trained in Awana become modern-day Josephs -- faithfully following God as adults. Survey results found Awana alumni are more devoted to God, His Word and their local church than even the most committed U.S. churchgoers.
It is never too late to join the group through the year. If you are interested, please come out!
