David Fresch, Senior Pastor

Pastor David has been on staff for nearly ten years and is the longest serving pastor we have ever had.  He came here from Houston, Texas, but he is no stranger to Norway. As a child he lived here from 1985 - 1990 and was a member of North Sea where he was also baptized.  He is here with his wife, Scottie, and his two daughters, Lily (13) and Ellie (10).

He is a graduate of Houston Baptist University and took courses at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary before earning a Masters in Global Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary.

David has a passion for “equipping of the saints for the work of service” as Ephesians 4:11-12 instructs.  Pastor David spends time preaching, supervising staff, training ministry leaders, helping to develop and carry out the church’s vision, counseling, overseeing all the ministries of the church and whatever else may come up that requires his attention as he leads our church.

In addition to his work here, David currently serves as the Director of Empowering Leaders for the International Baptist Convention, which North Sea is a member of.  He also represents North Sea on a team of churches that are planting international churches in northern Europe.  In the past he has led the team that plans their annual summer conference as well as participated in other areas of leadership.

Pastor David is also president of Fresch Ministries International, which seeks to stimulate growth in indigenous ministries all over the world. He takes 2-4 mission trips a year, usually to train pastors in developing parts of the world.

North Sea is his close to his heart as it is the church he was baptized in, his daughters were dedicated in, and he was ordained to ministry here.  In addition, his father was ordained and served as a deacon at North Sea in the 1980s, and his brother, born in Norway, was dedicated at North Sea.

He would love the opportunity to get to know you, so please do not hesitate to call him at  92 82 63 83 or email him at
