Our church is follows the congregational model.  In other words, final authority lies with the church body as a whole.  We believe that each follower of Christ has the Holy Spirit, and thus each believer has the ability to hear God.

The congregation votes to elect pastors.  Functional and daily leadership of the church lies with the senior pastor, with certain areas of ministry being delegated to additional staff and volunteers.

Additionally, the congregation elects trustees, who are responsible for overseeing church resources.  As they are also deacons, they regularly participate in ministry caring for members, helping to serve in various capacities, and giving counsel and assistance to staff members.

The congregation will occasionally vote on other issues, such as proposals brought by the leadership or on rare occasions voting on a doctrinal issue (such as adopting updates to the Constitution).

Please see our Constitution for more information.
